Program
Day 1, BALIKPAPAN – LOAJANAN – MAHAKAM ( D )
Upon arrival at Sepinggan Airport Balikpapan, meeting services than transfer by Air Conditioned private car direct to Loajanan. On arrival at Loajanan, board to a houseboat and immediately cruise up the Mahakam river for experience wild life of the Dayak country. Lunch & Dinner, and overnight will be on boat.
Day 2, MUARA MUNTAI – JANTUR - MANCONG. ( B,L,D )
Morning, arrive at Muara Muntai Village , after breakfast sight seeing around the village to see the local people daily activities. Afterwards continue the trip by motorized canoe crossing the vast Jempang lake for homeland of Dayak Benuaq. On arrival at Mancong village a welcome ceremony will be held by the Chief of Dayak follow by traditional dances with his people. Here you will see the grand long house of Dayak Banuaq with their totem poles in front of the longhouse. In the afternoon return to Muara Muntai and you will see monkeys, birds, snakes along the Ohong river. Arrive on houseboat and cruise up the river for Melak. Breakfast and dinner boat, lunch will be provided en route.
Day 3, MELAK – EHENG – KERSIK LUWAI – GEMURUH ( B,L,D )
Morning arrive at Melak, short sight seeing around the local market then by car drive to Eheng village to see the longhouse of Dayak Tunjung Banuaq where the people still living together in one big long house with more than hundred people and they are still made their traditional handcraft as like Rattan basket and statues. Afterwards,
continue drive to Kersik Luway to observe the Nature of Black Orchid Forest. Return to the houseboat for lunch, and in the afternoon entering the small river to visit Gemuruh by passing the rain forest. Late in the afternoon return to houseboat and cruise down the river for Tenggarong. Meals will be provided on the boat.
Day 4, TENGGARONG – BALIKPAPAN ( B,L )
Early morning arrive at Tenggarong, visiting the Mulawarman Museum to see the Sultan's Kutai Kartanegara collections and see the oldest Kingdom in Indonesia . Afterwards drive to Balikpapan by private car. Accommodation. (Dinner by your own account.)
Day 5, BALIKPAPAN – AIRPORT ( B )
Morning after breakfast, free at leisure until transferred to Sepinggan Airport for your onward flight for next destination.
